On the afternoon of May 21, the Japan Research Center of Shanghai Jiaotong University organized nearly 40 teachers and students from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, the School of Foreign Languages, the Kaiyuan School of Law, the School of International and Public Affairs, the School of Media and Communication, the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, the School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, and the School of Agriculture and Biology of the University to visit the Innovation Center of Nippon Electric (Shanghai) (hereinafter referred to as the Innovation Center). Cai Yuping, deputy director of the Japan Research Center, Xu Yue, director of the Administrative Office, Liu Lu and Pan Yan, administrators, Wang Yingwei, director of the Brand Strategy Department of Nitto Electric (China) Investment Co., Ltd., and his subordinates led the team to organize this exchange activity.

Nitto Group, a large multinational enterprise, was founded in Osaka, Japan in 1918. With basic technology, bonding technology and coating technology as the core, the Group's business areas cover electronics, automobile, housing, infrastructure, environment, medical and other industries. In 2018, Nitto Group sponsored the "Nitto Special Lecture of Japan Research Center of Shanghai Jiaotong University" set up by the Japan Research Center of Shanghai Jiaotong University on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of entrepreneurship. The special lecture has been successfully held six times so far, and has been widely praised by academia and industry.
The staff of the Brand Strategy Department of Nitto Electric (China) Investment Co., Ltd. and the lecturers of the Innovation Center led the teachers and students of Jiaotong University to visit the exhibition area of enterprise profile and business products. The lecturer demonstrated Nitto Group's strong technical ability and commodity development ability in various business fields as a diversified intermediate material manufacturer. Its business covers four major fields, including industrial tape, optical and semiconductor materials (optical electronics), film and medicine. Among them, seawater desalination permeable film, liquid crystal polarizing film and other products occupy the top market share in the world.
Teachers and students of Jiaotong University watched the on-site demonstration of Nitto's latest technology, experienced the application of Nitto Group's products in daily life and construction in the living exhibition area, and had in-depth exchanges with the accompanying group's technical personnel. In the laboratory, teachers and students of Jiaotong University and staff of Nitto Group discussed relevant issues in the research field face to face.

Cai Yuping, Deputy Director of Japan Research Center, on behalf of the teachers and students of Jiaotong University, thanked Nitto Group for carefully organizing this visit, reviewed the exchanges and cooperation between Nitto Group and several colleges of Jiaotong University in the past few years, and hoped that this visit would serve as an opportunity to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation at all levels, such as technology development and talent recruitment, with the Japanese Research Center as a bridge of communication.

Wang Yingwei, Director of the Brand Strategy Department of Nitto Electric (China) Investment Co., Ltd., welcomed the visit of teachers and students from Jiaotong University and thanked them for their enthusiasm. She proposed to set up a platform to feed back the questions and suggestions of students, and looked forward to continuing to expand the cooperation and exchange relationship with Shanghai Jiaotong University in the future.
