On the afternoon of September 19, 2018, the Japan Research Center of Shanghai Jiao Tong University organized a delegation of 19 teachers and students from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, the School of Foreign Languages, the Kaiyuan Law School and the School of International and Public Affairs of the University to visit and exchange with the Innovation Center of Nippon Electric (Shanghai). Ji Weidong, director of the Japan Research Center, and Cai Yuping, deputy director attended the exchange.

Accompanied by Mr. Changcheng Shengyi, the chairman and general manager of Nitto China, and Mr. Wang Jian, the assistant general manager, our teachers and students visited the exhibition area of enterprise profile and business products. The lecturer demonstrated the strong technical ability and commodity development ability of Nido Group as a diversified intermediate material manufacturer in various business fields. Especially in the medical and health field, with bonding technology, coating technology, polymer synthesis and processing technology as the core, Nitto Group has developed surgical tape, percutaneous absorption patch and other products.
In addition, for example, steel plate and aluminum alloy reinforced film products in the automotive field support Japanese cars to use aluminum alloy materials to achieve lightweight vehicles, while also ensuring body strength. In the field of electronic information, its star product polarizer meets the market demand for small, lightweight and high-definition LCD.
Director Ji Weidong of the Japan Research Center, on behalf of our teachers and students, expressed his sincere thanks to Nido Group for carefully organizing this visit, congratulated Nido Group on its upcoming 100th anniversary celebration, and hoped that this visit would be an opportunity to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation at all levels, such as technical cooperation and development, by taking the Japanese Research Center as a bridge.
