During the talks, Professor Ji Weidong explained the historical origin of Shanghai Jiaotong University and Japan, introduced the basic situation of the Japan Research Center and various activities since its establishment. He pointed out that the Japan Research Center will promote China Japan exchanges from the following three aspects: first, promote Shanghai style Japanese studies; Second, promote the high-end dialogue between China and Japan in the field of economics and law; Third, promote public diplomacy in East Asia. He said that the tea ceremony is an important part of Japanese traditional culture, and he believed it would also become an important channel to promote China Japan folk friendship. He hoped that the Japan Research Center could strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Li Qianjia in the future, and make a contribution to China Japan folk friendship. Mr. Guan Genxiu zhi introduced the tea rooms set up by Li Qianjia in several famous universities in China. He said that he hoped to set up Li Qianjia tea rooms in Shanghai Jiaotong University in the future to carry out tea ceremony teaching and demonstration activities. He also looked forward to holding cultural activities with the Japanese Research Center to strengthen the understanding of Japanese culture among the young generation in China.
