The theme of this forum is "Challenges in the New Era and Corporate Legal Affairs". The China Japan Legal Forum was started in 2018, and is held in Tokyo and Shanghai in turn every year. This meeting is the first time for this forum to be held in China.

He traced back the initiation and development of this forum since the series of lectures on corporate legal affairs were held in 2009, and pointed out that China and Japan should hold high the banner of adhering to globalization and free trade, safeguarding law and justice, and achieving mutual benefit and win-win results, and strive to lead judicial diplomacy in Asia and even the world. Corporate legal affairs have become the forefront of judicial diplomacy in various countries. The candid dialogue between the Chinese and Japanese corporate legal ministers and counsel is believed to be able to build the largest concentric circle for the East Asian economy and find the largest common denominator for the global legal order.

He introduced the history and current situation of the Japanese Friends of Business Law Association and the historical changes of Japanese corporate law, and pointed out that the three topics of the Association at present are the support for Japanese enterprises as a whole, the support for members outside Osaka in Japan, and AI's response to social changes such as 5.0 society. He believes that in the era of artificial intelligence, the responsibilities of legal persons are at least two: the first is artificial intelligence+rule of law, which actively embraces new technology and actively promotes the deep integration of artificial intelligence and rule of law. The speech of Hiroshi Tanahata, the deputy representative officer of the Friends of Japanese Business Law Association and the acting minister of the All Nippon Airways Legal Department, focused on the "challenges of the new era" and the future of Japanese corporate legal affairs. He introduced the "5.0 society" concept and development goal put forward by the Japanese government, that is, to connect and drive everything with data, so that technology can facilitate people's work and life while narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor. Then, he believed that under the challenge of the new era, there was an important shift in enterprise legal affairs from defending legal risks to guiding and creating business strategies, namely, how to plan the maximum legal benefits for enterprise development in front of risks and give full play to enterprise autonomy.
